Gate Installation

Custom Gate Installation in Western Washington

As part of our full range of professional fence services, we install gates to match any size of opening or terrain. Gates take more daily wear than any other part of a fence, and we have the expertise, hardware, and fabrication skills to install a gate that will last for years to come.

Building The Right Gate

  • Sized to the Opening, Not a Standard Spec: Every gate we install is custom-made to fit the specific opening and terrain, not pulled from a pre-cut inventory. We measure and frame for the actual site conditions before we build. A gate that’s slightly out of square with a sloped driveway or an uneven yard will bind, sag, or drag within a season.
  • Swing or Slide: Swing gates work for most residential openings and cost less to install. Slide gates make more sense where there’s no room for a swing arc (tight driveways, property lines close to the opening, or commercial lots where a swinging gate would block traffic). We’ll help determine which setup fits your space during your initial estimate.
  • Hardware Built for Daily Use: Hinges and latches take the most abuse of any part of a gate. We use commercial-grade hardware as our standard and can add self-closing hinges, lockable latches, or heavy-duty handles based on the gate’s intended use, whether that’s child safety, security, or standing up to equipment traffic.
  • Built to Last in the Pacific Northwest: Posts shifting, weather-related ground movement, and rust are the leading causes of gate failure in our climate. We frame wood gates with steel to resist sagging and use galvanized hardware on chain link and vinyl gates for better rust resistance than standard retail options.

I had two gates replaced, one widened and they are spectacular. The team was on time and efficient and asked me for verification when they weren’t clear on what I wanted. They even hauled away an old gate that had been replaced a couple years ago.

Gate Types & Materials

Wood is one of the most requested materials that we install. We build each wood gate on-site to match your existing fence line. Larger openings typically get steel framing around the inside of the wood to help resist warping and sagging over time. We can add self-closing hinges and lockable latches, and a trellis or arbor on top for a more finished look at the entry point.

Chain link, vinyl, and iron gates are fabricated in our shop. We build each one to fit the specific opening and terrain, whether it’s a straightforward residential gate or a wider commercial gate opening. Hardware can be upgraded to self-closing hinges and lockable latches on any of these materials. Ornamental iron gates add a decorative, high-end look and withstand decades of use with minimal gate repairs or maintenance.

Gate Automation

If you’re installing a new driveway gate, gate automation adds convenience and security without changing how the gate looks. We work with LiftMaster and other leading automation brands and can set up remote gate access to manage entry for family, delivery drivers, and tenants. Gate automation is most cost-effective for driveways and commercial entrances.
